A full text of the law of Ukraine No.743-VIII on
“Preventing the influence of corrupt violations on the results of official
sports competitions” has been published in today’s issue of the Holos Ukrainy
newspaper.
The law was submitted by President of the Football
Federation of Ukraine, Andriy Pavlenko and will come into force the next day
after its publication, i.e. December 3, the FFU press service told Ukrinform.
The document stipulates the procedure for
preventing and unveiling the influence of corrupt violations on the results of
sports competitions, bringing to account those guilty of violations and the
removal of violations’ consequences, and the international cooperation on the
fight against corruption in sport.
