Crypto currency and law

Armel Njoya, EO-201i, KNEU

INTRODUCTION

Each fiduciary currency in the world is created, released and controlled by a single entity – in most cases, a central bank. By law, ordinary citizens are only allowed to buy, sell or keep money. If someone tries to create a sum of money, they will inevitably find themselves behind bars.
As the use of crypto currency becomes more and more common, law enforcement, tax authorities and legal regulators around the world are trying to focus on the concept of crypto currency and where is it located. It exactly within existing regulations and legal frameworks.

Protecting Trade Secrets During the Pandemic

Paul Hastings LLP

As more employees are furloughed and laid-off during the COVID-19 pandemic, now is the ideal time to update your trade secret protection program. After all, taking company information is easy for an insider: forward emails to a personal account, copy files from a company laptop to a USB drive, or use a smart phone to scan paper documents.
So how often does this happen? The Ponemon Institute surveyed nearly 1,000 Americans who left an employer during the 2007-08 financial crisis. The survey found that 59% took company data, 67% admitted to using their former employer’s confidential data to find a new job, and 68% intended to use company information on a new job. The current risks are much greater because entire workforces have transitioned to working from home.

Transformation of law in the process of globalization of society: Indonesia

Globalization has forced countries who wish to become members of the globalized international community to have similar set of laws. This has been especially evident in areas such as banking law, competition law, bankruptcy law, copyright law, patent law, and arbitration law, among others.

Ngamapentelieu Lucrece, ЕО-204і, KNEU
Introduction
Every state requires a legal system for the normal operation of its society. There is no state that does not have a legal system.
However, depending on the progress of economic development, the legal systems of states can be distinguished into two types: namely, the legal system prevailing in the developed countries and the legal system prevailing in developing countries.
The legal system prevailing in a developed country can be characterized as a legal system that supports industrial society, as developed countries have long been industrialized.

Women’s entrepreneurship in the world

Women’s entrepreneurship in the world
TCHUIDJEU Mbakam Blondelle, EO-204i, KNEU

INTRODUCTION

Female entrepreneurship is interested in a specific profile of entrepreneurs, that of women. A woman entrepreneur as defined by Dina Lavoie (1988) are those “who, alone or with one or more partner (s), founded, bought or accepted in inheritance a business, which assumes all the risks and financial, administrative and social responsibilities and who participates in its daily management on a daily basis. ”
Thus defined, it will be a question for us to define the concept of female entrepreneurship, to talk about the entrepreneurial spirit among women, to give the specifics of this entrepreneurship, to present the modes of financing, and finally the obstacles.

Artificial Intelligence and Law
MONGOUE YANGOP FRANCIS DERRICK, EO-204i, KNEU
INTRODUCTION
What is palpable today is the confluence of the legal world, which is an environment of tradition and ancestral values evolving thanks to new technologies. These technologies are not necessarily disruptive, they are sometimes reasoned. Artificial Intelligence can seize the right.
“Code is Law”, the superposition of this famous Lessig maxim, provides an interesting insight into the politics of given architectures. The A.I. will certainly bring about many upheavals, but lawyers will know how to deal with it. The challenge will be to ensure that it is AI that is invested by lawyers and not vice versa.

Restatement (Second) of Contracts

The Restatement (Second) of the Law of Contracts is a legal treatise from the second series of the Restatements of the Law, and seeks to inform judges and lawyers about general principles of contract common law.

Every first-year law student in the United States is exposed to it, and it is a frequently cited non-binding authority in all of U.S. common law in the areas of contracts and commercial transactions.

Restatements of the Law

In American jurisprudence, the Restatements of the Law are a set of treatises on legal subjects that seek to inform judges and lawyers about general principles of common law. There are now four series of Restatements, all published by the American Law Institute, an organization of judges, legal academics, and practitioners founded in 1923.

Coronavirus: Commission invites Member States to prolong restriction on non-essential travel to the EU until 15 May

Today the Commission invited Schengen Member States and Schengen Associated States to prolong the temporary restriction on non-essential travel to the EU until 15 May. The experience of Member States and other countries exposed to the pandemic shows the measures applied to fight the spread of the virus require more than 30 days to be effective. The Commission calls for a coordinated approach to the prolongation, as action at the external borders can only be effective if implemented by all EU and Schengen States at all borders, with the same end date and in a uniform manner.
The travel restriction, as well as the invitation to extend it, applies to the ‘EU+ area', which includes all Schengen Member States (including Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, and Romania) and the 4 Schengen Associated States (Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Switzerland) – 30 countries in total.

Crowdfunding: the nature and features of implementation in Ukraine

Introduction
Often people who create the ideas or start-ups that are really needed for society and a particular industry cannot bring their project to fruition simply because of a lack of information skills. Therefore, many start-ups are wondering: how to present your innovative and promising (and even very cool) project so as to arouse interest in a potential investor? Do you have an idea for a startup but don’t have the money? Then crowdfunding will help you.

Ukraine: Statement by the Spokesperson on the Russian land ownership decree affecting Crimea

Russia has recently added, by a presidential decree, most of Crimea and Sevastopol to the list of border territories of the Russian Federation in which non-Russian citizens are prevented from owning land.

The European Union does not recognise the illegal annexation of the Crimean peninsula by Russia, which is a clear violation of international law. Therefore, the European Union does not recognise this decree, which is yet another attempt to forcibly integrate the illegally-annexed peninsula into Russia. Crimea is part of Ukraine. The decree is also a violation of international humanitarian law, as it is another step towards the imposition of Russian citizenship in the peninsula. This could also lead to the arbitrary deprivation of property.
