Bangladesh purchased more than half of total Ukrainian rye exports

Despite the 18% decrease of Ukrainian rye production in 2015 (to 391 KMT against 478 KMT in 2014) currently its exports are growing mainly due to domestic consumption decrease in Ukraine.
During the first half of 2015/16 rye exports from Ukraine reached 13.756 KMT which is 4% more than for the same period in 2014/15 – 13.204 KMT.
This season Bangladesh became new largest importer and purchased more than half of total Ukrainian rye exports (7.503 KMT). Egypt returned with purchases and imported 2.126 KMT. Last time the country took Ukrainian rye five years ago.
