The first inaugural meeting of the International Advisory Council will be
held under the chairmanship of President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko on March
18-20 in Kyiv.
The meeting will be attended by members of the Council and prominent global
figures, inter alia, Leszek Balcerowicz, Elmar Brok, Melanne Verveer, Mikuláš
Dzurinda, Tony Abbott, Andrius Kubilius and Radosław Sikorski.
The agenda of the event provides for the discussion and elaboration of
respective recommendations on the ways to counter Russian aggression and
implement reforms in Ukraine on the basis of the best international experience.
The Council was established as a consultative and advisory body under the
Head of State by President’s Decree №706/2015 of December 16, 2015.
