President Petro Poroshenko
invited Ukrainians to attend the military parade on August 24, commemorating
the 25th anniversary of Ukrainian independence.
“I have a kind advice: come
and see the military parade on August 24. At the foremost, it shows that
Ukrainians have the force capable to defend peace and security of our state and
our people,” said the President during a ceremony of handing over keys to apartments
of Security Service (SBU) operatives. According to the President, Ukraine
demonstrates its strength to the enemy and military progress to the allies –
the new armed forces and law enforcement agencies were created from scratch.
Petro Poroshenko thanked
Ukrainian defenders, including the SBU operatives, who contributed to upholding
independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of the state.
