US leadership in Europe or the Dunning-Kruger effect.

Leadership does not tolerate a vacuum. Goodbye USA( Hello France?

Trump's alarmingly inadequate statements regarding the war in Ukraine and Speaker Johnson's vile behavior in the context of assistance to Ukraine are leading to the loss of American leadership in Europe.

Hiding behind US interests, Trump and Johnson are essentially acting against US interests. How conscious are Trump and Johnson acting? What is happening in this case? Close-mindedness, parochial thinking, lack of strategic vision? Or is this the Dunning-Kruger effect in international politics in its purest form?

Everything is clear with Trump from the very beginning. His hyper-populism, his desire to translate the laws of trade into politics, coupled with morbid narcissism, finds supporters among US voters. Hence, the question arises: can Europe and Ukraine depend on such voters who choose Trump and his values? French President Emanuel Macron asks this question in a negative tone. Perhaps, France is preparing to take the place of the United States as leader in Europe.

There are no questions regarding the behavior of Speaker Johnson, this Gollum of the Congress. But the question is, how could this entity become the Speaker of Congress? Who chose him? And what does the election of such a figure as speaker mean? Degradation of politicians? Or sacrificing the objective interests of the country for the sake of the subjective interests of your party?

The betrayal of Ukraine for the sake of Trump’s victory has already made an impression on European politicians. On February 26, a working meeting of about 20 European leaders took place in the Elysée Palace in Paris. The participants of the conference discussed ways of confronting Russia and possible ways of helping Ukraine in confronting the aggressor in the context of the aggravation of the situation at the front in recent weeks.

In particular, at the summit, French President Emmanuel Macron did not rule out that NATO could use troops to help Ukraine. According to him, the main problem is that there is still no consensus on this issue.

Trump and Johnson don't care about the fact that half of Europe was a colony of the former Soviet Union. Eastern Europeans have a good memory and do not want to return to Russia.

The narrow-mindedness of Trump and Johnson may lead to the fact that one fine morning Americans will learn that all American military bases in Europe have already been liquidated. Will this benefit American interests? Trump will easily explain all this to us.
