The reasons for the collapse of the Roman Empire are quite numerous and have been well described. For me there is not a shadow of a doubt that one of the main reasons for the degradation and collapse of this powerful state was a qualitative change in the composition of the Senate of the Roman Empire. The generations of those who stood at the foundation of the creation of Rome were cut short, and Gauls and Germans began to sit in the Senate. The mental basis of the empire has disappeared.Perhaps right now we are witnessing the rebirth of the Republican Party. They became Gals and Germans in the US Senate. Only politicians who do not understand what exactly the national interests of the United States are can trumpet to the whole world that the United States cannot solve problems on its border. Republicans are sending signals to the world:
1. We cannot solve our country's problems;
2. For us, our party interests are higher than the national interests of the United States;
3. Don't rely on the US as a reliable ally. Just as we sell Ukraine to Putin, we will sell Israel and Thailand.
We are not talking about Trump. If a presidential candidate postulates the collapse of NATO, then tell me how I should call this person?
