Should we not discuss R&D failures within the Ukrainian MIC?
The 1st May 2018 witnessed yet another success of the Ukrainian military industrial complex (MIC) in producing more (relatively) advanced equipment. This time President Poroshenko
proudly announcing
the upgraded combat module Duplet.
The unwieldy and opaque Ukrboronprom apparently once again striking design and production gold, hot on the heels of the success of the Alder missile system announced a week ago. A system that apparently possesses missiles with adjustable flight paths – hardly a 21st century military breakthrough, but in all probability slightly more accurate that the equipment the Ukrainian military found themselves forced to use after Russia invaded Ukraine in 2014. To be entirely blunt that unfit for purpose equipment worked on the basis of “a big enough cow’s arse and a big enough paddle” and it maybe/should manage to hit it.
