MPs ratify memorandum to get 500 mln euros from Germany

MPs have ratified a memorandum on joint intentions of the government of Ukraine and the government of Germany concerning the loan in the amount of 500 million euros.
266 MPs voted for the corresponding decision, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"Ratification of this memorandum creates a legal basis to receive a part of the KfW finance loan in the amount of 300 million euros to finance priority projects of restoration and modernization of infrastructure facilities in the eastern part of Ukraine, which will be jointly agreed by Ukrainian and German parties in the framework of the bilateral High Level Group," reads an explanatory note to the document.
The ratification is also aimed at ensuring the conclusion of certain contracts to receive a part of the financing in the amount of 200 million euros for the needs of the general fund of the state budget.
