The Decree on the Office of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea

The President signed the Decree on the Office of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

The Decree instructs the Office of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea to intensify work on a number of issues in cooperation with central executive authorities and local government.

In particular, the Office must facilitate compliance with constitutional rights and freedoms of Ukrainian citizens who reside in the temporarily occupied territories or moved from there and now live in Ukraine.


The Office must take action to maintain political, social, information and cultural ties with Ukrainian citizens living in the temporarily occupied territories.

Also, the Office of the President must take active part in the development of strategic programs on the return of temporarily occupied territories under the jurisdiction of Ukraine.

The Decree considers it expedient to deploy the Office in Kherson and its certain structural departments - in Kyiv.
