At the meeting with families of the fallen cyborgs who defended the
Donetsk airport, President Petro Poroshenko noted that Ukraine would always
remember its heroes - glorious cyborgs.
"242 days of heroic defense of the Donetsk airport. It started with
the seizure of the airport by Russian troops and Chechen militants. Full
destabilization of the city, beginning of the occupation and only courage of
our warriors, coordinated actions of the Air Force and airborne troops
transformed the Donetsk airport into a symbol of Ukrainian courage and foothold
of the Ukrainian spirit. The whole country appreciates and respects that. Thank
you for that," the President noted.
The President noted that those heroes would remain fearless and
invincible Ukrainian heroes forever. "Every day, every minute, every fear
should remain forever in the hearts of relatives, friends and every
Ukrainian," Petro Poroshenko emphasized.
Due to the resistance of cyborgs, Ukrainian troops managed to save 2/3
of Donbas.
On behalf of the Ukrainian nation, the President thanked the attendees
for raising such sons.
The President informed that the second part of the documentary about the
Donetsk airport was in production at the moment. "We must do everything
for these heroes to be with us not only in our hearts, but also in books and
movies. We will remember them until we are alive," the Head of State said.
