Ukraine: Investors will have access to compensation for the engineering and transport infrastructure they have built

Over the past six months, the Government has seen progress in the creation of new industrial parks. This year, the state budget envisages UAH 1 billion for their development. This was stated by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.

At its session on 15 March, the Government decided to launch two more new industrial parks.

"The first one is located in the Rivne region. It is an industrial park specialising in industrial processing. It is expected that 1,400 jobs will be created and investments worth more than UAH 1 billion will be made," the Prime Minister said.

The second industrial park will locate in the Lviv region. It will specialise in the processing industry with a special focus on furniture production.

"Investments are more than UAH 2 billion. More than 2,000 new workplaces are expected to be created," said Denys Shmyhal.

In addition, the Government continues to improve the conditions for large investment projects. The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a document that allows investors to receive compensation for the engineering and transport infrastructure they have built.

"That is, if an investor has built a road, installed water, gas or electricity connections to its plant or other investment object, the state will compensate him/her for these costs," the Prime Minister noted.

In addition, according to the Head of Government, investors will now have the opportunity to receive compensation for their expenses for connecting to engineering and transport networks.

"We talked about this with businesses. This is a very important and principled story. This will bring additional investments and new large projects to our economy," said Denys Shmyhal.
