U.S. hopes to develop joint defense production with Ukraine – Pyatt

U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Geoffrey Pyatt has said that the United States hopes for the development of a joint defense production with Ukraine, which will allow realizing the strategic and business objectives of both countries.

The U.S. hopes to continue cooperation and co-production in the defense industry for strategic and commercial purposes, according to the official page of the Ministry of Economic Development on Twitter citing Ambassador Pyatt as saying at a meeting with Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Stepan Kubiv and Ukraine Trade Representative Nataliya Mykolska.


As UNIAN reported earlier, U.S. President Barack Obama signed into law S. 1356, the revised National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2016 on November 25, 2015, which authorized, among other things, $300 million assistance for Ukraine.
