President of
Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has signed a decree on the establishment of the
Chernobyl radiation-ecological biosphere reserve.
Creating a Biosphere
Reserve will be one of the largest environmental institutions of Ukraine, the
total area of 227,000 hectares.
It is located on the territory of Ivankov and Polesie district of Kiev region
within the exclusion zone and zone of unconditional (obligatory) resettlement.
