Riga hosts unprecedented meeting of heads of government of the Baltic States and Ukraine in history of foreign policy

Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk is on a working visit to the Republic of Latvia where he arrived at the invitation of his Latvian counterpart Laimdota Straujuma.
On November 5, in the framework of the visit there took place the first joint meeting in the history of foreign relations between heads of government of the Baltic states and Ukraine: Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk, Prime Minister of Latvia Laimdota Straujuma, Prime Minister of LithuaniaAlgirdas Butkevičius (Lithuania) and Prime Minister of the Estonia Taavi Rõivas.
The agenda of the trip includes negotiations of Arseniy Yatsenyuk with head of Latvian governmentLaimdota Straujuma. Moreover, the Prime Minister of Ukraine is scheduled to meet with President of Latvia Raimonds Vējonis and Speaker of the Saeima of the Republic of Latvia Inara Murniece.

The Head of Ukraine’s Government is to participate in the 10th annual Riga conference – a prestigious international forum which focuses on EU's geoeconomic role this year.
Apart from that, Arseniy Yatsenyuk is due to meet with Vice-President of the European Commission Valdis Dombrovskis, to pay a visit to the NATO Strategic Communications Centre and a famous Ukrainian school in Riga.
In the frames of the visit the Prime Ministers of Ukraine and Latvia will open a monument to TarasShevchenko in Riga.
