Peace talks with war criminal and murderer Putin?

Peace talks with war criminal and murderer Putin?

Now the Ukrainian and Russian delegations are conducting peace negotiations.
It does not fit in my head how you can negotiate with Putin and Russia. This is about the same as if Churchill had peace talks with Hitler.
The political reality is such that the team of the current President of Ukraine sends the following theses to the Ukrainian society:
1. Yes, the constitution of Ukraine contains provisions on Ukraine's intention to join the EU and NATO. But at the moment, NATO does not want to accept Ukraine into its membership. NATO is essentially a paper tiger that will not be able to protect Ukraine from Russia.
There are countries in NATO that will always be against Ukraine's entry into NATO, such as Germany and Hungary. Therefore, Ukraine does not need to join NATO. This implies the neutral status of Ukraine.
However, it should be remembered that Ukraine's non-participation in NATO and its neutral status is one of Putin's demands. How reasonable is it, having such a neighbor as Russia, not to be in any system of collective security?
2. Instead of NATO, Ukrainians are offered security guarantees from several countries, including countries with nuclear weapons.
Allegedly, the nuclear potential of the countries-guarantors of Ukraine's security will keep Russia from attacking Ukraine. But that was already in the past, when Ukraine gave up nuclear weapons in exchange for the guarantees provided for in the Budapest Memorandum.
This memorandum was signed by Ukraine, Russia, Great Britain and the USA in December 1994. This memorandum did not deter Russia from attacking Ukraine. How will the new treaty contain Russia? Maybe because Turkey will be added to the list of pomegranate countries? Or because the status of a treaty is legally stronger than that of a memorandum? Is it really important for Russia which agreements can be violated?
3. Putin also demands the demilitarization of Ukraine. He demands to reduce the Ukrainian army in quantitative terms. These demands of Putin are embodied in the Ukrainian thesis about the need to reorganize the Ukrainian army in the Swiss manner.
By promoting this narrative, politicians are defending Putin against Ukraine. From the Ukraine that Putin robbed, tore to pieces and now demands disarmament for the sake of Ukraine's security.
From this we can conclude that there are disturbing trends about the intention of some politicians in Ukraine to carry out a disguised capitulation to Putin. With this capitulation, the fulfillment of Putin's demands will be presented to Ukrainian society as an achievement of Ukrainian diplomacy.
For his part, Putin is already saying that he did not intend to occupy all of Ukraine. The whole world sees his desire to destroy Ukraine and the Ukrainian people, but Putin suddenly declares that he was not going to occupy Ukraine. Why such a statement?
This is a saving path for Putin. He will tell the Russian society: I sent troops to Ukraine. I defeated Ukraine. Ukraine capitulated and complied with all my demands. I withdraw my troops from Ukraine with honor.
4. There is also the question of territorial claims. Russia has captured a significant territory of Ukraine and continues to plunder these territories. What about the status and territories of the unrecognized so-called Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics? What about the status of Crimea? Is it possible to allow the lifting of sanctions against Russia in exchange for its insignificant concessions?
Does Ukraine need such a peace?
As paradoxical as it sounds, Ukraine now needs a peace treaty with Russia. Since at the moment Ukraine has not been able to inflict a complete military defeat on Russia. At the same time, Putin absolutely did not achieve complete control over Ukraine, which was his real goal. The peace treaty will mark Ukraine's victory over Russia.
However, this possible peace treaty will be temporary until the start of the next war between Russia and Ukraine.
