SINGAPORE—Secretary of State Mike Pompeo met Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Çavuşoğlu, after landing in Singapore on Friday, to discuss the escalating dispute over a detained U.S. pastor.
Earlier this week, the U.S. imposed sanctions on two Turkish officials after the government refused to release Andrew Brunson, a pastor from Black Mountain, N.C., who was arrested in Turkey almost two years ago.
