Ukraine's Permanent
Representative to the UN Volodymyr Yelchenko has called the ruling of the
Russian Supreme Court upholding a ban on the Crimean Tatar Mejlis in Russia as
an extremist organization as "worthless."
"A worthless court, a
worthless decision," Yelchenko wrote on his Twitter page on Thursday.
As reported, on Thursday,
September 29, the Russian Supreme Court issued a final ruling upholding a ban
on the Crimean Tatar Mejlis in Russia as an extremist organization. The court thus rejected an appeal from Mejlis
representatives.
