The Government is working to
reform the job evaluation system and the pension system which in complexwill provide a decent wage for
each Ukrainian citizen and an opportunity to increase pensions in Ukraine. This
was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman on opening a
Government meeting on Monday.
"Our topmost challenge of
today is the issue of job evaluation for Ukrainians. I believe that the work
and wages of Ukrainian citizens are undervalued. Therefore, our task today is
to reform the wage system so that every Ukrainian citizen could get a decent
pay – it’s first. Second, to ensure it is officially declared, and third, a
person who is working today earns a normal salary, on the one hand, and on the
other hand, for the future - protection of the pension system," said Volodymyr Groysman.
The Prime Minister also
stressed that the pension system of Ukraine requires change, in this regard, on
the agenda is an issue of providing up-to-date pensions.
"It implies that we
should, taking into account the resources of our economy and the Pension Fund,
take all necessary decisions to ensure pension in Ukraine could grow. We have
ideas about this, we are working at it, we are now considering all
possibilities of the economy, what we can offer to Ukrainian citizens, and we
will certainly provide our propositions", highlighted Volodymyr Groysman.
According to the Prime
Minister, the Government will offer "instead of populist ideas very
specific steps" within the shortest possible time, those corresponding to
possibilities of the Budget and the economic situation within the country.
"It's vital for us to
ensure economic boost. Economic growth will enable us enough resource to invest
in improving people's lives", summed up the Prime Minister.
