The Ukrainian government is confident it will be able to reach an agreement with the creditors on restructuring its debt within the international financial aid package, as there is a common interest of the parties in this matter.
Finance minister of Ukraine Natalie Jaresko said this, delivering a speech at the Brookings Institution in Washington on Tuesday.
"I am confident that we will find a common language with our creditors," the minister said.
She noted that the Ukrainian government and the creditors had a common interest in "Ukraine to be solvent, and its debt in the medium term to be sustainable."
Ukraine's position on public debt management is "that we invite all our sovereign creditors [to join negotiations]," the finance minister said.
