President Petro Poroshenko emphasizes that everything possible is being done to put pressure on Russia and achieve liberation of Nadiya Savchenko.
According to the President, "farce in the form of illegal show trial of Ukrainian officer Nadiya Savchenko is currently taking place in Russian Donetsk". "In brutal violation of all international rights, the Ukrainian Hero has been held in custody without any accusations for almost two years already. Over the past few days, we have made every effort for the European Union, the United States and other states-partners of Ukraine to put pressure on Russia and demand immediate unconditional liberation of Nadiya Savchenko," the Head of State noted in the course of his conversation with representatives of Ukrainian and Crimean Tatars who live in Turkey.
