Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine set up the Council on Trade and Sustainable Development

On June 13, on the proposal of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine set up the Council on Trade and Sustainable Development
The task of the Council is to organize the work of the Advisory Group on Trade and Sustainable Development in accordance with the provisions of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement to support civil society, trade and sustainable development. The main objective of the Advisory Group will be monitoring of the introduction and the clear implementation of the measures stipulated for by chapter 13 "Trade and sustainable development".

The Trade and Sustainable Development Council should also ensure the selection of candidates to the Group of Experts who shall work on improving the effectiveness of the drafting of decisions to address possible legislative difficulties in the course of implementation of the relevant provisions of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement on Support for Trade and Sustainable Development.
The Trade and Sustainable Development Council will comprise representatives of governmental authorities and civil society.
The Council will be headed by Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine/Trade Representative of Ukraine Natalia Mykolska.
