Natsec law passes its first reading – changes to the SBU remit will assuredly follow
On 2nd April 2018 an
entry appeared
regarding the first reading of the new law that restructures and repeals the current legislation regarding national security and defence architecture in Ukraine, predicting the law would pass through the Verkhovna Rada on 5th April at its first reading and that there would be scope for, and in all likelihood, a lot of amendments before the second reading.
So it has come to pass – Draft Law 8068 garnered
265 votes in favour
, and also attracted commentary that identified areas of probable amendment between Verkhovna Rada votes.
