The Verkhovna Rada “Veche”
On 22nd October, Misha Saakashvili called upon activists
to remain camped
outside the Verkhovna Rada for at least the next two weeks – until and throughout the next plenary session of parliament which begins 7th November.
Quite how many activists will remain camped there remains to be seen – and perhaps the number is not particularly important as long as it amounts to several dozen or more. The numbers may well ebb and flow, increasing during the day and decreasing during the night.
They may or may not swell and decline depending upon the speakers and quality of speeches at Mr Saakashvili’s “veche” (or віче/вече) – a medieval Slavic word for public assembly.
