Blockchain: Banks Are Taking Back Control – Time for the Real Estate Industry to Do the Same?

It should be no surprise that six major global banks are partnering on the development of their own cryptocurrency (http://bit.ly/2vA3gee). Whilst the world of high finance constantly competes in the development of new technology and products in an ongoing battle for product or market supremacy, the aim here is of such systemic significance, arguably it could only be achieved through a partnering approach. Rivalry, it seems, has been set aside in return for influence and (presumably) a founding stake in what they hope will be the future of this part of the financial landscape.
