Some simple questions to German, Polish, Romanian, Italian.... politicians:
Which country will do what, if the Ukrainian state collapses as a result of
the current Russian escalation?
If, for instance, a mere 20% of Ukraine's population decide to flee to the
EU: Which country would take how many of these 9 million refugees? Would, for
instance, Romania take one 1 or 2 million? Germany 3 or 4 million? Where would
these refugees be housed and who would feed them?
Or would the EU encourage Polish, Slovak, Hungarian and Romanian border
guards to shoot Ukrainian refugees trying to pass the EU-Ukraine green border?
Or an even more "funny" scenario: If Europe's largest nuclear
power-plant in Zaporizhzhia (less than 300 km away from the current fighting
zone) explodes, what would the EU's politicians do? Introduce strict visa
regulations for radio-active particles?
PS: A large part of the Russian state budget still consists of Euros paid
by EU countries for large amounts of daily Russian pipeline oil. This West
Siberian crude can be easily replaced with oil from other exporters than
Russia. Moscow does currently not have the infrastructure to export large
amounts of Siberian oil to other destinations than the EU and by other means
than its European pipeline system.
