Prime Ministers of Moldova and Ukraine signed a roadmap for cooperation in 2017


On the outcomes of the negotiations on Monday Prime Ministers of Moldova and Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman and Pavel Filip signed a roadmap for Ukrainian-Moldovan cooperation in 2017.
The roadmap includes in particular the completion of the negotiation process in three primary issues: the resolution of the operating conditions of the Dniester hydro power complex, the completion of state border demarcation and mutual recognition of property rights.

"We have had a constructive meeting and decided together with the Prime Minister that in respect of issues that have been unresolved from the previous period we must join efforts and solve them in 2017. These issues - containing the demarcation of borders, cooperation in energy sector, property issues - must be settled. With this purpose we have signed a joint agreement today. This joint agreement, the action plan envisages 8 specific points aimed to resolve the issues of which I have told", said Volodymyr Groysman during a joint with Pavel Filip communication with journalists.
Speaking about the demarcation of borders, the Prime Minister said that there would be established a group of experts to develop all the necessary decisions to complete the process.
"We have set an ambitious goal: in 2017 the issues contained in the plan of 8 points we shall solve basing on principles of respect and unity", he stressed.
In turn, Prime Minister of Moldova Pavel Filip commended the results of talks with Volodymyr Groysman.
"During the meeting we pondered on a number of issues related to economic cooperation between States regarding the recognition of property rights, the completion of the border demarcation process, the operation of the hydropower complex in Novodniestrovsk", said the Head of the Government of Moldova.
