economy and renewal of its growth, and the statistics proves that unemployment
rate in Ukraine is gradually decreasing and wages are rising. This was
announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman on opening a
Government session on Wednesday.
"We are responsible for
our promises. When we assumed Government offices, our challenge was to
stabilize the economy, stop the political slump, resume economic
growth. Today I want to assert: Ukraine’s economy starts to recover. This
is an extremely difficult process. We will see statistical data that the result
of economic stabilization, economic growth appears gradual decrease of
unemployment in Ukraine and the increase of wages. I want to stress that this
is only the beginning", said Volodymyr Groysman.
He noted that these days
millions of Ukrainian citizens had received higher pay.
Everything accumulated by the
Ukrainian economy will enable us to transform and direct [the resource – ed.]
to the implementation of the social contract and improvement of the quality of
people’s lives, urged the Prime Minister.
Moreover, the Government
consistently fulfils the promises to enhance the scale of road construction,
grow the volumes of production of Ukrainian gas and reduce its imports,
increase salaries, promote the development of domestic manufacturers.
"These are specific
things. These are not just empty promises, but fulfilment of the commitments to
Ukrainian citizens that we accepted, and we are committed to keep them",
stressed the Head of Government.
"Economic upswing is the
result of hard work of millions of Ukrainians. This is a joint work of all
employees and all the people in our country. Each of us performs his or her
functions and tasks in each particular place. And we, as the Government, are
also paying every effort to ensure macroeconomic stabilization, macroeconomic
growth”, said Volodymyr Groysman, adding that all these will definitely lead to
success.
