Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has said that violation of
international law by Moscow in connection with holding Duma election by Russia
on temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine makes impossible the
organization of elections by Russia in the offices of its diplomatic and
consular services.
"Foreign Ministry of Ukraine expressed a decisive
protest against plans to hold election on the temporarily occupied territory of
Ukraine - Crimea and Sevastopol," Ukrainian Foreign Ministry's Policy and
Communication Department Director Oleksiy Makeyev told Interfax-Ukraine on
Saturday.
He also said that these steps do not meet international
law. It is violation of international liabilities taken by Russia.
"In this context, the organization of elections
by Russia in the offices of its diplomatic and consular services is
impossible," Makeyev said.
