Border guards are continuing to perform the tasks on boundary line between
the ATO forces and the militants. As it was informed the previous day at about
09.30 the militia have brought down fire on the supervising point “Mayorsk”,
located in the direction of the entry-exit checkpoint "Zaitsevo".
The fire was made by a hostile sniper from Horlivka side. The bullet
hit the armor vest of the border guard. Fortunately, the serviceman
was not hurt.
During the past day no hostile unmanned air vehicle was registered in the
area of ATO.
The border guards prevented the goods movement through the entry-exit
checkpoints at the boundary line. Two Ukrainian citizens were trying to carry
about 750 packs of cigarettes through entry-exit checkpoint onto the
uncontrolled territory. Tobacco, estimated at 12 000 hryvnias, was
transferred to the Fiscal Service representatives.
Three automobiles were detained at the “Maryinka” and “Novotroitske”
entry-exit checkpoints. Our compatriots have filled the vehicles up with
various consumer goods, tobacco and cosmetics. They aimed to deliver the stuff
onto the territory controlled by mercenaries.
In addition, the border guards detected 3 bullets of 5.6mm caliber in
the car at the “Zaitsevo” checkpoint. Currently, both the driver and the car
were given in charge of the National police for making legal decisions.
22 trucks carrying humanitarian supplies provided by the regional Mission
of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees passed the border. About 390 tons of
building materials were transproted for the Luhansk region residents.
