Dutch referendum says No with 64%, turnout 32%: preliminary data

The turnout for the referendum in the Netherlands on the issue of the Ukraine-EU Association Agreement  is 32%, with 64% of the voters having said No to the deal, according to the updated data by Dutch-based IPSOS Research Bureau, published Wednesday by NOS TV channel, an UNIAN correspondent reports.

For this advisory referendum to be valid, at least 30% of eligible voters must cast their ballots. 
Unofficial preliminary results of the voting say it’s 36% of Yes votes against 64% of votes opposing the Association Agreement.
As UNIAN reported earlier, an advisory referendum on the Ukraine-EU Association Agreement is being held in the Netherlands on April 6. The Dutch are to answer the question whether they support or oppose the Agreement’s ratification. The polling stations are open 7:30 through 21:00.

This is the first referendum, held in accordance with the law passed last summer.
The final results of the referendum will be announced on April 12.
