Despite what
is increasingly shaping up to be a fall presidential race between Republican
Donald Trump and Democrat Hillary Clinton, an estimated 7.5 million Americans
living abroad have been voting since March 1 to influence the outcome of the
heavily contested primary races between the two major parties.
In Ukraine, Democrats Abroad Chairman Reno Domenico hosted
voting on March 1 in his Sterling Business School in Kyiv on 7 Nesterovskiy Lane, office 12.
Some 19 voters showed up that day, but other Americans
have until March 8 to cast their ballots and can do so by email.
U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Geoffrey R. Pyatt showed up
on March 1 to express support for Americans taking part in the democratic
process of elections.
Globally, voting centers in 39 countries and over 100
cities around the globe.
The final results of the Global Presidential Primary,
including delegate allocations, will not be announced until all ballots are
counted, expected on March 20.

delegate allocation, voting locations and times, local media contacts and a

Domenico, chairman of Democrats Abroad Ukraine, gave
his decidedly partisan tilt on events: "This is a unique opportunity for
Americans - Democratic Americans - to vote in an official, sanctioned, and
recognized election to help choose America's next president. This is a crucial
election for the United States as we try to capitalize on the good work
President Barack Obama has done.
As you can see
and read, the other American political party is running a campaign of fear,
pessimism, division, and hate. America is better than that. And both (former)
U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders are far
better people, and better leaders for America."
Domenico said that Democrats Abroad Ukraine is
"very proud that we have kept our chapter of Democrats Abroad alive and
well, despite the troubles in Ukraine in recent years. We join with all who
live in this great land to pray for peace, prosperity, and democratic progress
as Americans set the bar high by voting in the only presidential election
primary designed for Americans living and working abroad.

U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright on behalf of Clinton, can be watched here.
