Mogherini supports anti-Russian sanctions until Minsk deal fully implemented

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko had on Saturday a meeting with High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini in the framework of the #Munich_Security_Conference, according to the presidential press service.

“The Head of State informed on the situation in Donbas. The parties expressed concern over the increasing number of shelling and non-admission of the OSCE to the objects located in the occupied territory,” reads the report.

“Federica Mogherini noted the necessity of prolongation of sanctions against Russia until complete implementation of the Minsk agreements,” the press service says.

The parties also discussed the situation in the occupied Crimea. The President urged the EU to actively protect the rights of Crimean Tatars as the violation of their rights “resembles Stalin's period.”

In addition, Poroshenko and Mogherini discussed the provision of the visa-free regime for Ukrainians.
