In Kyiv will host an exhibition of artifacts of the time of Prince Vladimir

In the evening July 14 in Kyiv will host an exhibition, "Prince Vladimir - Grand Prince of Kyiv", timed to the 1000th anniversary of the death of Prince. It will be held at the National Museum of History of Ukraine.

The exhibition features more than 250 original exhibits from the museum and the Institute of Archaeology of National Academy of Sciences. Most of the items presented to the audience for the first time. Such items include, and artifacts found during the recent excavations of foundation of the Tithe church and its surroundings. The excavations were carried out by the Institute of Archaeology of National Academy of Sciences in 2005 - 2011 years. This collection includes building materials, floor fragments, details of architectural decoration, fragments of frescoes.


Also on display are items of weapons, jewelry and household items production with a team of Scandinavian graves of the tenth century, objects of early Christian cult IV-VII centuries, religious items Syrian and Byzantine origin; Numerous crosses of ancient period; plinfa signed trident; modern coins, medals, medals with the image of Prince Vladimir.
