Ukraine will simplify the procedure of granting political asylum to citizens of Russia

President of Ukraine Poroshenko promised to simplify the procedure for granting political asylum to citizens of Russia, who "politically persecuted for defending Ukrainian position." Poroshenko said that the current rules oblige the Commission to prove the citizenship "special and important public interest for citizens of Ukraine," so that he could obtain Ukrainian citizenship.
