Teacher removed from the center of the educational process and became the only one of its members (not the main) with mythical rights of academic freedom. Teachers as sleepers, thrown under the rails of making money, and learning processhave turned into a chase for scores on the boundary of decency.
At the beginning of the semester the university’s administration constantly asks the teacher: “Why do students have so few scores?”, “Why do students have so few scored before the exam?”, “Do you think with these scores the students can successfully pass the exam?”.
After the examination session the teacher falls into a state of cognitive dissonance because he is asked: “How do you explain the fact that students’ scores were so high before the exam, but they passed the exam so bad?”, “What did you do for successfully passing the exam by students?”…
The exam (in some cases as farce) and evaluation of examination papers (in some cases as a horror movie) require a separate conversation.
The ball is ruled by the university’s administration and Student Academic Council (CAC). Became fashionable collective letters of students in which they refuse to take the exam from objectionable teachers – a wonderful example of the manipulation of the student’s environment and the pressure on the teachers’ staff by university officials. Needless to say, about the educational effect of such a manipulation. Children-scammers grow the whole bunches.
The dependence of the university from students’ payment for education led to the dependence of teachers from all -starting from the Rector and ending with the cleaning lady.
So, the image of Ukrainian teacher of the near future is more or less decently dressed man with tray of light drinks and towel on his left arm.
