War Cabinet of the Council of National Security and Defense

The War Cabinet is a working body of the Council of National Security and Defense in the special period, whose main task is to discuss the proposals for the application of forces and means of security sector and Defense to repel armed aggression against Ukraine; identify needs for personnel, weapons, military equipment, logistics, energy, financial, information and other resources, as well as the need for military assistance to Ukraine from foreign states and international organizations; translation of the national economy to function in a particular period and the decision of the general or partial mobilization, demobilization.

Chairman of the Military Cabinet is the President, Secretary - ex-officio Secretary of the National Security Council. It shall also include the Prime Minister, the Ministers of Interior, Foreign Affairs and Defense, Chairman of the Security Service of Ukraine, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces and Chairman of the State Border Service, Commander of the National Guard, the Head of the Presidential Administration, as well as the consent of the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada.
