A New Era of Digital Collaboration: Ukrainian Businesses Can Now Sign Documents with European Partners on One Platform

In a significant development for Ukrainian businesses, the ability to sign documents with European partners online on a single platform has become a reality. As reported by sud.ua, Ukrainian legal entities and individuals can now seamlessly sign documents with their European counterparts.

The Schrift electronic document management system has introduced a groundbreaking function that enables the use of both Ukrainian and European qualified electronic signatures (QES) on the same platform. This is a pioneering step in Ukraine, poised to streamline and expedite the process of signing joint documents such as international contracts, invoices, and reconciliations with European partners.

Hryhoriy Lutsai, head of Ostryn LTD, the developer of the Schrift system, highlighted the simplicity and accessibility of this new feature: "From now on, not only Ukrainian but also European KEP keys can be used in the Schrift system. There is no need to install special programs for signing—just a web browser is enough. The counterparty can sign the document for free, even without creating an account, using the guest interface."

This innovation marks a departure from the previously cumbersome process where parties had to use separate systems for signing documents. Now, Ukrainian businesses can handle document processing with their European partners on a unified platform. These electronic signatures hold legal validity in both Ukraine and the European Union, with signature verification possible directly within the Schrift system or through official resources such as czo.gov.ua and ec.europa.eu.

This development is set to enhance the efficiency and ease of doing business across borders, fostering stronger international partnerships and collaboration.
