National Bank of Ukraine Discloses Bank Owners and Qualifying Holders

National Bank of Ukraine Proceeds in Making Banking System More Transparent Thus, the NBU web-site for the first time contains information on bank managers, as well as information on managers and owners of qualifying holding in banks that were liquidated not on the initiative of their owners.

The relevant information has been disclosed under part five of Article 68 of the law of Ukraine On the National Bank of Ukraine and posted in Bank supervision - Bank registration section on the pages Information on bank managers and Managers and owners of qualifying holding of liquidated banks (Ukrainian version).

Using the automated search system on the Information on bank managers page, you can find the following details on bank managers:

·          name

·          position in a bank (only managerial positions)

·          name of the bank where the relevant person was on a managerial position

·          Sort Code (MFO)

·          EDRPOU of the bank

·          a certain date or period when the manager worked in the bank.

The information on managers and owners of qualifying holding in banks that were liquidated not on the initiative of their owners is published on the page Managers and owners of qualifying holding in liquidated banks. For each bank there is a link to download the following pdf-files:

·          The managers of the liquidated bank

·          Qualifying shareholders of the liquidated bank.

The page Managers and owners of qualifying holding in the liquidated banks contains information on the managers of banks / owners of qualifying holding in banks who held positions / were the owners of qualifying holding in the bank on the date of the NBU’s decision to declare the bank insolvent or on the date of the NBU’s decision on the bank liquidation (if the decision to liquidate the bank was not preceded by a decision to declare the bank insolvent).

The said information is provided about the banks the decision on revoking banking license and the liquidation of which was adopted by the NBU on its own initiative or at the proposal of the Deposit Guarantee Fund under Article 77 of the Law of Ukraine On Banks and Banking starting from 22 September 2012.

Please note that the source of information about bank managers is the data the NBU received from banks. If any errors or inaccuracies are detected, users may inform the NBU, by sending the information to the e-mail: managers.bank@bank.gov.ua.
