The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has clarified a procedure for receiving #online_payments by the Ukrainian residents from non-residents, in connection
with the regulator’s recent decision to allow payments conducted through
international online payment systems.
In its posting
on Facebook, the NBU informed that receiving e-money from non-residents is
possible through international online payment systems which provide for the
possibility of redemption (withdrawal) of funds.
The report
notes that the withdrawal of funds from such systems should be carried out in
the accounts of individuals opened with Ukrainian banks, using payment
instruments provided by such international payment systems (credit cards).
After that,
individuals, bank customers, will be able to carry out non-cash payments or
receive funds in cash.
As UNIAN reported earlier, on February 13 the NBU allowed Ukrainian
residents to receive e-money issued by non-resident issuers via international
online payment systems, as well as simplified the procedure for harmonizing
rules on e-money use for banks, members/participants of domestic payment
systems.
