Activists encourage Dutch people to distrust Russian propaganda

Anastasia Vlasova

About 10 people came to the Dutch Embassy in Kyiv on Feb. 5 to call on Dutch people to not trust to the Russian propaganda ahead of the referendum in the Netherlands on whether the European Union should accept an association agreement with Ukraine, bringing closer political and trade ties.
Activists were using a huge banner with Vincent Van Gogh's self-portrait with the cut off ear as a symbol that it's better to cut off one's ear than to listen to Russian propaganda, and small symbolic ears as posters with slogans: "Netherlands is a friend of Ukraine" and "Ukraine is Europe."
