Ukraine and Japan have started a new phase of investment cooperation

Agreement between Ukraine and Japan for the Promotion and Protection of Investments opens a new phase of investment cooperation and economic development. It also will help consolidate the positive image of Ukraine in the international arena - said Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine. The agreement between the two countries comes into force today, 27 November 2015.

Agreement provides Japanese investors to provide most favored in the case of the establishment, acquisition and expansion investments secured guarantees from unlawful expropriation and nationalization also provides free transfer of payments and internationally recognized dispute settlement procedures. This, in turn, reduce non-commercial risks of Japanese businessmen will increase potential investment, and promote proper national interests of Ukraine.

"This is a new stage of attracting foreign investment and technology, increased foreign trade turnover," - said Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine.

Recall that the Agreement between Ukraine and Japan on the promotion and protection of investments was signed on February 5 this year, Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan in Ukraine.
