‼️The official website of the International Register of Damages Caused by the Aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, which was created by the Resolution of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe on the Creation of an Expanded Partial Agreement on the Register of Damages Caused by the Aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, CM/Res(2023)3 of May 12, 2023, has become operational.
👉 The resource was created to highlight the activities of the international Registry of Losses among the general public. On the website, you can read information about the Register of Losses, learn about the latest news and events related to its work. Potential claimants will be able to find answers to the most frequently asked questions, learn about the initiation and process of filing claims for damages, and more.

📌 The location of the international Register of Damages is The Hague, Kingdom of the Netherlands.
As noted by Iryna Mudra, the international Loss Register is the first component of the international compensation mechanism, which will consist of a loss register; application review commission; compensation fund.
💬 The register of damages serves as a documentary form of accounting for evidence and information regarding claims for compensation for damages, losses or damage caused on February 24, 2022 or later on the territory of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders, including its territorial waters, to all interested individuals and legal entities, as well as the state of Ukraine, including its regional and local authorities, state or controlled institutions, by internationally illegal acts of the Russian Federation in Ukraine or against Ukraine.
Currently, Ukraine, together with other participating states and associated members of the Register of Losses, is actively implementing a number of measures aimed at the earliest possible full launch of the work of the International Register of Losses. The Loss Register is expected to start accepting the first applications in April 2024. The start of accepting applications will be notified additionally.
