European Parliament approves EUR 1 bln aid to Ukraine

The European Parliament in its Wednesday vote supported the European Commission's proposal to allocate the fourth package of macro-financial assistance to Ukraine, amounting to EUR 1 billion. The majority of MEPs have supported the move, with 527 votes cast in its favor. As reported earlier, on June 13, during the debate in the European Parliament, European Commission Vice-President Valdis Dombrovskis announced a number of requirements to Ukraine regarding the provision of new macro-financial assistance.
