Court arrests former MP Shepelev for two months
Pechersky District Court of Kyiv has chosen a measure of restraint in the form of two-month detention for former Ukrainian MP Oleksandr Shepelev, who is suspected of high treason, according to the 112 Ukraine television channel.
Such a decision was made at a court session early on Saturday, February 10.
The decision may be appealed at Kyiv Court of Appeal within five days.
Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine on high treason, under which Shepelev is charged, does not provide for the possibility of posting bail.
