Temporary trade measures for Ukraine move forward

6th June witnessed the European Council reach agreement upon temporary (3 year) favourable trade measures for Ukraine in the areas of additional import quotas at zero tariff for certain agricultural products and the partial or full removal of import duties on several industrial products – subject to suspension should Ukraine fail to comply fully with its commitments to rule of law, human rights, reform and fundamental freedoms to which it is obliged within the terms of the Association Agreement.
