A major Chinese investor is willing to invest in the construction of
high-speed railway lines that will connect Kiev-Lvov-Warsaw-Berlin and
Kiev-Odessa
Volodymyr Omelyan, the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine, said that his
department is preparing to sign a memorandum with one of the largest Chinese
investor companies to build high-speed railway lines connecting
Kiev-Lvov-Warsaw-Berlin and Kiev-Odessa.
"We are preparing to sign a memorandum with one of the largest Chinese
investors on the development of a feasibility study on high-speed rail
passenger traffic on the Kiev-Lvov-Warsaw-Berlin route, as well as in the
direction of Kiev-Odessa, followed by a continuation of the railways to Crimea,
when it comes back under the control of Ukraine," Omelyan said.
According to the Minister, the Ministry of Infrastructure is now preparing
a project for the transit of goods from EU countries via the Black Sea to the
Gulf countries, especially Iran.
