Ukraine's PGO launches criminal proceedings against Russian prosecutors, judges who sentenced Savchenko to 22 years in prison

The Prosecutor General's Office (PGO) of Ukraine has opened criminal proceedings against Russian judges and prosecutors involved in the sentencing of Ukrainian pilot and MP Nadia Savchenko, Prosecutor of the PGO Vladyslav Kutsenko has said.

"Yesterday, two entries about the opening of criminal proceedings were made into the unified registry of pre-trial investigations. The first one was opened under Part 2 of Article 375 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. It applies to the judges of the Donetsk city court of Russia in connection with their deliberately passing an unjust verdict on Savchenko...
The second criminal case introduced yesterday into the unified registry of pre-trial investigations deals with the Russian prosecutors... it was made under Part 2 of Article 372 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which covers unlawful criminal prosecution of a person," Kutsenko said at a briefing at the prosecutor's office in Kyiv on Wednesday.
