Groysman, Mogherini discuss Ukraine-EU joint position on Russia's aggression against Ukraine

Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman had a meeting with EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy / Vice-President of the European Commission Federica Mogherini has a meeting in Brussels (Belgium) on Wednesday.

The parties discussed a joint Ukraine - European Union position on the #Russia's_aggression against Ukraine.

Groysman noted that as far as the Russian Federation had occupied Crimea and a part of Donbas any lifting of the sanctions against Ukraine's northern neighbor would be unacceptable and would be perceived as "a prize for the aggression, murders and ignoring the international law."

In turn, Mogherini noted that the EU countries would take the decision to lift the sanctions against the Russian Federation only after it implements all the provisions of the Minsk agreements in full. Besides, the sanctions imposed after the annexation of Crimea will remain in place until full de-occupation of the peninsula, the EU High Representative noted. She also said that the EU will further not acknowledge the annexation of Crimea.

Groysman and Mogherini also exchanged ideas as to internal political situation in Ukraine.
