Rada coalition officially ceases to exist

"According to the submitted application, I announce that the Samopomich faction ceases to participate in the parliamentary coalition "European Ukraine," Groysman said at a meeting of the Parliament on Friday.

"It's a pity, but I think we will continue political consultations and find the right way out for the country from the current situation," he said.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukraine's Samopomich and Batkivschyna factions demanded the resignation of the government.

On February 16, the Verkhovna Rada failed to score the needed number of votes for passing a vote of no confidence in the Cabinet of Ministers and refused to dismiss Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk.

On February 17, the Batkivschyna faction announced it pulled out of the parliamentary coalition.

On February 18, Ukraine's Samopomich party decided to quit the ruling coalition.
